  • [SURVEY] - Which shared web hosting are you currently using?
You missed SiteGround ; one of the best for WordPress Hosting.

Even the Wordpress.Org is hosted by them If I am not wrong.
  • What is the deletation period of a domain?
Ideally among other providers, Almost for 30 days after the expiration date the domain will be available for renewal during a grace period. We may need to get a second opinion from Admin for Hello.Com
  • Are there any free SSL certificates?
Hello Ross, here's my answer for similar question by Jake. You can get Free SSL.!

There are Free SSL's Providing Institutions, one of the legitimate & most trust worthy one I found was "Let's Encrypt". It is completely free and you can find more information about it in the below link.

    Url : https://letsencrypt.org/

That's an Organization created with some of the major Brands out there, like Mozilla, Chrome, Firefox, Cisco, Shopify etc. making it a good brand to trust for. Checkout the image below for the full set of Partners.

My Personal Choice is to go with WordPress along with WooCart / Bigbazaar / Flatsome theme. Excellent choice for creating stunning eCommerce Sites.

I agree with Ghelyn, Yoast is one of the best when it comes to SEO.
  • POP vs IMAP
@Ghelyn B The deletion will happen only for the copy that you left in Server. The Local copy will stay intact.
  • POP vs IMAP
    IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol)

IMAP allows you to access your email wherever you are, from any device. When you read an email message using IMAP, you aren't actually downloading or storing it on your computer; instead, you're reading it from the email service. As a result, you can check your email from different devices, anywhere in the world: your phone, a computer, a friend's computer.

IMAP only downloads a message when you click on it, and attachments aren't automatically downloaded. This way you're able to check your messages a lot more quickly than POP.

    POP (Post Office Protocol)

POP works by contacting your email service and downloading all of your new messages from it. Once they are downloaded onto your PC or Mac, they are deleted from the email service. This means that after the email is downloaded, it can only be accessed using the same computer. If you try to access your email from a different device, the messages that have been previously downloaded won't be available to you.

The decision to choose from Either of them rests with as its based on your preferences. Personally, I prefer IMAP due to its flexibility & ability to access the Emails anywhere without the restriction to a particular device.
  • Is there a domain reseller account? Can I become a domain reseller for Hello.co?
I don't think Hello.Com offer a reseller account; however it's worth giving a try by contacting the support directly.

  • How do I build my online presence?
Tuan, Ecommerce Site Requires a Vast Variety of Security Measures & Optimizations to make it fully functional.

From your question, I understand that you are new to eCommerce; being in the initial stage its better to go with an establishing eCommerce Platform like Shopify or Bigcommerce. That ensures the Security & Stability for your startup. You would also need to get an SSL & PCI Compliance (which comes with major platforms normally) in-order run a successful store.

Despite all these, there isn't any eCommerce Platform or Hosting Service that would offer you 100% Up-time. For that you may want to Buy your own Server and Maintain it. Best possible options available would be the ones that give 99.99% Up-time.
  • How to pick the right niche or category of your website?
@Mari While I do understand the logic & the strategy behind the instructions shared by our Fellow members, I don't completely agree with the Idea of following your passion always.

You Idea & Focus should always be on something that can be monetized, whether you are passionate about it or not is secondary. Because if you take up an Idea which you are passionate about, but doesn't get you any revenue you will not be as passionate on it as you were before. On the other hand, if you pick something random and make it profitable, it will automatically get added to your list of passions.

Creating a set of Personas before of your target Audience & your Acquisition Strategy would also be judging factor. As you know, even though if you have an excellent Idea, if you can't drive traffic to your store it really doesn't make sense.

So my Advice is to find the right Niche, that's Popular, Monetizable but doesn't have too much of competition.

  • Googling "domains" shows Google Domains as the first result - bad practice
Seems like it's location based, I am seeing Google Domains in the Fourth Position when I tried Searching with the Keyword "Domains".

  • New vs Expired domains
Old Domains with a Good History & Reputation will help you with Rankings, However if its got a negative history then it would impact very badly in Rankings.

I would suggest you to check them thoroughly before taking a call. Another Major item you should keep in mind is that Good Domains with Good History are never cheap, mostly goes above $100; so if you find a domain which is of low cost then be extra careful.
