  • How do I activate SSL for my domain and/or hosting?
    Hi Admin!

First thing to note is that you do not enable SSL on a domain name. You do this at the hosting level or in the hosting service you use to host your website.

There are may types of SSL certificates. My advice is that you contact your hosting provider and ask for options. It´s probably best if they also help with the installation as this may become tricky if you are not experienced doing this.

Finally, if your hosting provider offers SSL by default like hello.co, you may need to make some edits to make the SSL (https) work by default. This means, redirect your visitors from your non SSL site (http) to your SSL site (https).

For this add these lines to your htaccess file:

    RewriteEngine on
    RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} 80
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://<!!!your site url here!!!>/$1 [R,L]

If you don´t know how to do this, again, ask your hosting provider.
For the case of hello.co feel free to email us at and we´ll help with this.

Side note, not for hosting: Please note that the FREE version of Weebly does not include SSL.

    Have great day,

  • Emails for new account going to Junk folder
    Admin hi!

Some mail servers doubt the legitimacy of the emails from new email services. As time passes the emails become "usual" and "known" and will stop getting marked as Junk or Spam emails. This is a behavior related to Anti Spam techniques.

I guess when this happens all there is to do is to be patient, use your email properly and wait for services to recognize them and accept them.

    Hope this helps!

  • Renovación de un dominio
    Hola Javier!

Puedes hacer caso omiso a esos correos.

  • How can I manage forwarding for my email
    Hi!

To manage forwarding you need to log into your email from the webmail access:
    https://webmail.hello.co

Look for the settings option (top right), and look for the last option in the horizontal menu.

There you can add the destination addresses for forwarding email.
Mark the option: Keep copies of original messages

If you still want the emails to be in your inbox after forwarding.

Alternative solution for some Email accounts:
!!!Only try this if the steps above did not work!!!
For some email accounts you can do the forwarding from the Email Management Control panel at www.hello.co
    1. Log into your admin account at www.hello.co
    2. Click on your domain in the left tab, Active section.
    3. Look for the Services tab and for the Email blurb
    4. Click on Manage Accounts
    5. A new tab will open to manage your email service.
    6. Click on Mailboxes
    7. Click on the Mailbox you want to setup
    8. The Third Tab will have Forwarding/AutoReply, click on that tab
    9. Check: Forward Email to
    10. Enter the destination emails.

If you want forwarded emails to stay in your account, check: Save copies of forwarded email

    That should be it!

  • I don´t remember my username/password. How can I renew?
    Hi Admin!

You don´t need to log in tor renew your services. You can just go to: hello.co/renew and process the renewal. Please note that this will not give you access to the control panel for the domain. This will not change the registrant or the contacts for the domain name or for the account holding the domain. So if you renew a domain name that is not under your account you will have no right over the domain name... if it is not rightfully registered to your name.

The hello.co/renew site will also allow you to renew other services associated to the domain.

I stll encourage you to fix your access to the control panel as this is very important for many actions regarding your services.

    Have a great one!

  • If I renew the domain after expiration what will the new expiration date be?
    Hi Admin!

If you renew a domain after its expiration, the new expiration will be the previous expiration date, plus one year. You will not get additional days for your domain if you renew after expiration. Any renewal will only add one year to the previous expiration date, regardless if it is done before or after the renewal date of the domain.

Therefore, if you renew in advance of the expiration date, you will not lose the days left until the expiration. But, if you renew after the expiration date you will not get any credit or adjustment for the days in which your service was offline. Remember that the services associated to the domain, like email and website will stop working after a domain expires.

    Hope this helps!

  • Can I renew for multiple years? What is the maximum term?
    Hi Admin!

Yes, you can renew your domain for multiple years, but please note that your domain can´t expire on a date more than 10 years in the future. This may cause that the maximum renewal for domains that are about to expire is 9 years. Just after expiration you may be able to renew it for 10 years. If a domain expires in 5 years, the maximum renewal term will be 4 years.

In some cases the amount of years may be different but the common standard is 10 years. The www.hello.co system should have these business rules built into the system so that you can only renew for the maximum amount of years possible.

I know some registrars offer longer terms of renewal but this is just a way to charge you in advance and renew the domain when it is possible to to so.

Let me know if I can further help ;)

  • How can I confirm that a domain has been renewed?
    Hi Admin,

You can confirm that a domain has been renewed by logging into your control panel and selecting your domain.

The dates should reflect the renewal of the service. Please note that sometimes it may take some minutes for the updates to appear in your control panel.

If you have a doubt regarding the term of your renewal, please send it to .

  • When I renew, will you add a year (or years) to the current expiration date?
    Hi!

When you do a renewal, the process will add a year to the current (or previous) expiration date. This way you don´t lose any of the days you have paid for. If for example your domain expires the 10th of October 2015 and you renew the domain for 1 year the 10th of August, the domain will then expire the 10th of October of 2016.

    Hope this helps!
